Today Russian art is represented by paintings, graphics and sculptures (over 600 exhibits). A large part of the collection came in the early 1960s from the Hermitage, Russian Museum, Tretyakov Gallery and private collections.
The gold reserves of the collection are paintings by I. Shishkin, I. Levitan, V. Polenov, K. Korovin, A. Meshchersky, A. Bogolyubov, etc. For many years, invariable people’s interest has been aroused by the works of the famous Russian seascape painter I. Aivazovsky. Besides, the collection includes three works of Maria Fedorovna Romanova – the wife of Alexander III and mother of the last Russian emperor.
A small part of the graphic heritage includes works of C.-W. Bardou, J. Mequet, V. Mate, A. Ge, A. Benois, A. Somov, L. Bakst, I. Repin, V. Serov, etc. The use of different techniques: from simple pencil to xylography and lithography, speaks of the flexible search by graphic artists for a long period of time.
