“Museums in focus” on the online conference “Tourism and Education”

Due to pandemic people and companies all over the world are meeting online and already know how to organize large public events and share their experience. So this autumn, the annual All-Russian scientific and practical conference of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of Petrozavodsk State University “Tourism and Education: Research and Projects” was also hold online in ZOOM. As part of a two-day session on November 26-27, 2020, the participants discussed the main problems of the development of domestic and inbound tourism in the regions of Russia, related to the development of new tourist products, their promotion on the tourist market and improving the quality of tourist services.

Tatiana Saltykova, the project manager of KA9021 “Museums in Focus”, introduced to more than 90 participants the intermediate results of the project, as well as the difficulties that the project team faces during the implementation phase, and the first achievements. The results of the project aroused interest among other speakers and conference participants.

And a few words about how we usually prepare for online meetings. There is a good Chinese rule “Never lose your face”, and if in the Middle Kingdom “a face” means social status, in online broadcasts it means that participants see not only the prepared presentation, but also the face of a speaker. Therefore, we follow the experience of popular bloggers and use a ring light lamp because even a useful and inetresting online-presentation requires a good-looking, positive and self-assured person behind it!
