Russian-Finnish project (2016-2020)
The aim of the project – to change the attitude to the artists of the northern part of Europe, who are united with the same climate conditions. Traditionally there is an opinion, that northern people are not emotional and expressive. Nature and landscape have monochrome colours, nasty weather is normal for everyday life, winters are long, days are short. It should influence artists and their artworks, but it is not always this way!
The paradox of this exhibition is energy of bright, warm colours. Southern power of colours is coming from the north! Many artworks have decorative and positive elements.
Exhibition starts in March, when people are tired of winter, snow and black-and-white landscapes. It will bring energy and positive vibes giving feeling of bright summer.
This project has several parts in Russia and Finland. This exhibition was already organized in Saint-Petersburg and Helsinki, next stop is Petrozavodsk!
