The unique exhibition “Returned Masterpices” was opened on March 16th, 2018 in the Museum of Fine Arts. It represents the restoration works of Alexander Buyer, a famous art restorer, made for the last 48 years.
At the exhibition guests can see the icons of XV-XIX centuries and oil paintings of XVIII-XX centuries.
Some paintings, restored by Alexander Buyer, are represented for the first time after their restoration: “A Portrait of Maria Fyedorovna, Grand Duchess” by F.S.Rokotov, “The Village” by L.V.Turzhanskiy and “Uglich. The Church on Blood” by A.A.Chetverikov.
At the exhibition guests can also see the process of restoration in photo collages.
