Two monologues about North

Exhibition is open till April 28th.
“Two monologues about North” is an exhibition of two Karelian famous artists Margarita Permjakova and Olga Juntunen. Their artworks are similar and different at the same time.

On the one hand, the artists adore traveling and both of them paint talently the north nature. On the other hand, each painter has her own view of North, own brushwork and color.
The muted palette of Olga Juntunen images the inclement, powerful and lovely at the same time North. Karelian villages, desolate territories and stone banks are the main theme of her art.

Margarita Permjakova can’t hide a south temperament of a person born and grown near the Black sea. The bright and colorful works remind the Ukrainian folk art.
