The museum always tries to surprise visitors with its rich and various collections. The new exhibition “Lightened by the sun” also includes paintings and graphic works from the museum’s fund, still life and landscape paintings of the Russian and Karelian artists. The exposed artworks are full of the zest for life, optimism and happiness.
The palette of the expressed feelings, emotions and art methods are so varied: from the shy attempts of the sun to shine through the tight Karelian clouds in the paintings of Sulo Juntunen to the hot blinding sun in the Crimean landscapes of Mihail Jufa.
At the same time the works of the well-known and favorite artists and the works of the outstanding artists of the Russian art, which names are little-known for our guests, are presented on the exhibition.
